IMAGES OF THE MIND IN ART AND SCIENCE
This exceptional project sets out to comprehensively present the human mind as it is represented in various types of historical and contemporary, artistic and scientific pictures and images. The particular goal is to draw attention to the possibilities and hazards of the new depictions of the mind, question the traditional divide between artistic and scientific images and reconsider the values that we attribute to them and associate with them. The aim of this interdisciplinary project, analysing the "images of the mind" as a multi-faceted simile of man and how he understands himself, is to initiate a broad dialogue between science, society and art.
