In the years 1986 - 1992 Tomáš Hlavina studied restoration at the Prague Academy, in 1990 went over to the inter-media studio of Professor Knížák. His works are part of the National Gallery in Prague and the Moravian Gallery in Brno collections. He has lived in Prague since his studies. Hlavina pursues a mingling of critical thinking together with intuitive perception in his works. The objects he creates have their characteristic features - they generalize the creative process of a distinctive language. He does not deal with mere illustration. On the contrary, his works are unique in combining the elements of lingua and image.
