The Moravian Gallery in Brno has reserved this space for a type project involving the online reconstruction of the Dušan Samo Jurkovič Villa, a state-protected monument. The project was undertaken in the light of the acquisition of financial resources for restoration of the villa proper. It is estimated that the project will start at summer of 2008.
Historical, technical and stratigraphic surveys have been carried out as parts of the preparations for reconstruction of the villa, under the guidance of the Transat Architekti studio. In the course of this work, the original layers of paint on windows and door wings have been revealed, as well as the authentic decoration of the walls and fragments of a chandelier from the staircase hall. A carved imitation of the original roof frame, with preserved treated surfaces, was discovered above the secondarily-installed flat ceiling in the main hall of the house.
