The library of the Moravian Gallery in Brno has been serving the public since 1883. The reading room provides reference resources including dictionaries and general knowledge or art history encyclopaedias, as well as the current issues of specialized journals and the daily press. The library shelves hold a wealth of art history literature of Czech and foreign provenance, artist monographs, theoretical and overview works, exhibition catalogues, auction catalogues, and bulletins of museums and galleries from throughout the world.
