The first exhibition from the Personalities of Czech Graphic Design series was held in 1996 within the 17th International Biennale of Graphic Design, and presented the work of Oldřich Hlavsa. Since then, the series has introduced luminaries such as Jaroslav Šváb (2000), Adriena Šimotová and Stanislav Kolíbal (2004).

Milan Grygar is one of the leading exponents of graphic design in the Czech Republic. The exhibition’s objective is to present, albeit through only a narrow selection, both poles of Grygar’s art between 1960’s and 1990’s: experimental acoustic drawings and paintings, and graphic designs for film posters and book jackets. The show is part of the Personalities of Czech Graphic Design cycle.
