The Bolognese painter-quadraturist, architect and theatrical engineer Antonio Maria Beduzzi (1675–1735) became famous for his designs for the interior of St. Peter’s Church in Vienna, the monastery church in Melk or plans for the reconstruction of the Daun-Kinsky palace in Vienna.

In Moravia he worked mainly for the Liechtenstein family, for whom he designed, for example, the conversion of their residence in Valtice. The architectural drawings for his commissions had been preserved in the collection of the Brno architect František Antonín Grimm. Today, they are part of the collections of the MG and are of primary importance for the study of Central European Baroque architecture.
